We ordered one of these Solar Powered LED Lights from Amazon for $8 and it arrived the next day.  I'm very impressed so far.

The battery is at the top of the light bulb and you plug the solar panel via mini USB. Charged in about 2 hours in full sun . Good level of light to read a book.  I'm going to try a few other USB solar gadgets, fans, water heaters and post a Video Review to our Youtube Channel.
